Kelsea attended the ACM Honors event in Nashville, TN! The special aired on CBS Friday, September 15. While there, Kelsea was presented the 2017 Gene Weed Milestone Award, celebrating her three consecutive No. 1 singles from her debut album. The newly established honor recognizes an “unprecedented or outstanding achievement in the field of country music during the preceding calendar year” and combines the ACM’s Crystal Milestone Award and Gene Weed Special Achievement Awards. She broke down in tears during her acceptance speech as she spoke about chasing her dreams as a teenager, having to uproot her life to move to Nashville.
Kelsea performed her current single “Legends” with writers Hillary Lindsey and Forest Glen Whitehead.
Kelsea also performed a mashup of her history-making singles “Love Me Like You Mean It,” “Dibs,” and “Peter Pan.”
